                      FOOTBALL MENU/DRINKS

For those who have been keeping up with New News, you will remember we started a special for Sunday football.  The reason for that was to build clientele.  However, the result was numerous complaints from our patrons that we should be doing the same for Saturday games.  That leads to the question, what about Monday night football, etc.  Obviously, this could snowball to include golf, pro tennis, rugby, ladies mudwrestling, etc.  So, we had a meeting and drew a line.  What follows are the new menu and food rules and the applicable times:
Effective immediately, the following food and drink prices will begin on Saturdays and Sundays at noon and will remain in effect while the games are on.  On Monday and Thursday night football games the prices will be in effect from the opening kickoff through the end of the game.

All prices will be effective during the times shown above.

                                                 MENU PRICE CHANGE

Effective October 1, 2013, the price for a prime rib dinner will increase to $14.00.

We also plan to offer chicken Parmesan for $11.00 the same nights that we are having prime rib.  We regret having to raise prices, but it is necessary from time to time as our own costs go up.  We plan to begin offering more choices to the menu starting with the chicken Parmesan.

Please make them feel welcome.  It is a real privilege to be of service to them and we hope they enjoy our facility and our people.                                                                                                                     9-11-13

                                        MYSTERY DINNER THEATER COMING!

Although this issue is supposed to be only about events for September and October, we thought our members might like a heads up on an interesting evening performance scheduled for Saturday, November 2nd.
Planned around the dinner will be a mystery theater performance put on by the employees of the Willamette Manor.  It should be great fun for everyone and a change of pace, too.

There will be no band that night due to the performance. We don't know at this time what the dinner menu will be, but we will post it on the web-site as soon as we  know.                                                                                                         9-11-13

                                                         MEMORIAL SERVICE        TAPS

We have been saddened recently by the untimely passing of several of our comrades.  We had a remembrance Saturday for one of them.  Phil Lynch was a member of our SAL for many years and a well known member of the Lebanon community.  He left us a few days ago and we will miss him.  If you were one of Phil's many friends that joined us at noon Saturday, August 31st, in remembrance, the family said thank you.
