THE LEBANON EXPRESS โ€” APRIL 1926
SANTIAM POST IS INSTITUTED HERE
“New Post Starts Out With Good Membership and Much Enthusiasm. More than a hundred and fifty ex-service men… attended the ceremonies of institution of a new America[n] Legion post in Lebanon, last night at the Odd Fellows hall. The new organization is to be known as Santiam Post No. 51… Santiam Post has a charter list of 42 members, an efficient corps of officers, a name that is intimately connected with the history of Lebanon…”

A Tradition of Service

On April 14, 1926, a group of Lebanon-area ex-servicemen met at the Odd Fellows hall and chartered Santiam Post No. 51 with 42 founding members. Since then, Post 51 has been committed to supporting veterans, honoring service, and strengthening our community in Lebanon and the surrounding Santiam area.
